Yes the repeater on 26.955 is indeed an echo/parrot and a qso takes double the time to make!
I can only access it when dx conditions become available though.
The repeater you talk of in Kirchheim Teck, near Stuttgart is intriguing to me.
My radio (president lincoln 2+) has a split frequency function where its possible to make the radio TX on 26.955 ( or any other frequency) and RX on 27.405 automatically.
I have wondered if any of the cb repeaters are using ctcss to open them as my radio also can do this function.
